MARAPONG — Elias Pono Moatshe (34) was born and raised in Vianna Village (next to Marken Mall). He attended Mphari Secondary School and after school he worked as a chef at Marken Primary School. He left the school in 2004 where after he obtained a diploma at the Abvuxeni Computer School in Polokwane. He worked at Medupi Power Station from 2009 until 2011.
After leaving Medupi, Moatshe didn’t sit still. He did what he wanted to do since he can remember – making music to the glory of God.
Moatshe, currently residing in Marapong, recently released his second Gospel CD, titled “Ke Letetse Morena Waka” which means “I’m waiting for my Lord”.
“I’ve been a child of God since I was young. After I released my first album, A brand-new man in 2012, I paused for a few years due to some challenges in life, but by the grace of God, I recently released my second album,” he says.
He says he enjoys his talent and he thanks God for the talent that he’s been blessed with. “I trust in God that with this album I will be going places. God is going to open the gates for me,” he said.
He asks for support from the whole of Marapong and Lephalale to buy his CDs. He is doing his own marketing and is available to perform at wedding ceremonies, parties, corporate and private events.
