LEPHALALE — Mogol Post regularly receives complaints about poor or no water pressure in parts of Onverwacht.
An inquiry was sent to the Lephalale Local Municipality, and the following feedback was received from Conscious Chiloane, Communication Manager at the Municipality:
“The low water pressure was because the Municipal Team was repairing the main AC pipe that burst at the corner of Skadurand and Springbok Street last week.
The Palala Booster Pump Station was switched off to allow the maintenance team to make the necessary repairs. Following the completion of the repairs, the Booster Pump Station was switched on to operate at an optimum pressure of 4,2 bars.
“The Municipality is appealing to the affected residents to be patient as it will take time for the pressure to be restored in the system. Residents are further advised to use water sparingly for gardening and other recreational use.
