LEPHALALE — The 36-year-old Lesiba Zachariah Moabi appeared in Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 27 February on a charge of the alleged murder of Lephalale TVET College student Tshidi Catherine Mocheko in January 2020.
Supporters of the Mocheko family gathered in front of the court and in Herman Street from early on, swinging posters and singing. The courtroom was packed with supporters and friends.
Moabi requested for a replacement of the magistrate and that she should be taken of the proceedings. The case was postponed to Friday 13 March 2020.
Moabi left the dock with his head bowed without making eye contact with anyone.
He remains in custody in Polokwane for his safety.
The investigation continues.
