Operation COVID-19

LEPHALALE — Members of Lephalale Police, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Health, Lephalale Local Municipality, the Provincial Traffic Department and the SANDF held a COVID-19 operation from 09:00 on Friday 7 August.

The operation was held in Lephalale town and the focus was mainly on the illegal selling of tobacco products and liquor as well as other illegal activities in and around town during alert level 3 lockdown.

The operation was held under the leadership of Col Ramakgoakgoa, Station Commander of Lephalale SAPS.

Tobacco products to the value of R9 000 were confiscated, one person was arrested for the selling of tobacco and two undocumented foreign nationals were arrested.
