LEPHALALE — Lephalale SAPS Cluster came together for a prayer on Friday 1 December in memory of those who have already passed because of AIDS and those who are still fighting the battle.
A candle lighting ceremony was led by Warrant Officer Mokgesi, psychologist of Lephalale Cluster. She showed that it is important to share and give support to people living with AIDS as some police members are also living with AIDS.
Lephalale Cluster Commander, Brig John Masia addressed the people who have family members suffering from AIDS and he said they should support them and make sure that they adhere to the doctor’s instructions. He also encouraged police members to get tested in order to know their status.
The ceremony closed off with members being given the time to each light a candle to show their support to people living with HIV/AIDS.
