Sedibeng School shows off — Global entrepreneurship week

LEPHALALE — Sedibeng Special School is a school for the learning disabled and deaf in Lephalale. Skill development is a focus area for the school where learners need to be exposed to various skill enhancement activities.

They participated in an entrepreneurship program from Exxaro and iSchoolafrica where they were taught the basic financial skills to start a business and to be exposed to the entrepreneurial world. As part of the Global Entrepreneurship week in November they launched their products and services at an Exxaro Safety Indaba on 31 October to 1 November.

All the products were produced and or packed by Sedibeng staff and children. The employees of Exxaro were introduced to these high-quality products (homemade crunchy cookies, first aid kits, wooden blocks, fitness equipment, and vegetable plants) and a shoe shining service for the boots of the miners.

They ask all community members to support and buy the products that are still available. Please contact the school for your Christmas gifts: 072 155 1427.
