LEPHALALE — Brig Johan Masia, Lephalale Police Cluster Commander, warns the community to be very careful on Black Friday 23 November. “The shops and shopping centers are going to be very crowded, making it easier for criminals to rob you,” he said.
He also urge community members to look after their properties over the Festive Season. There were 11 burglaries and 14 assault cases opened in Lephalale Cluster within three days. “Ensure all your doors are locked and the windows closed. Do not be an easy target,” he said.
Try to coordinate with your neighbours when you are leaving so that you can keep an eye out for each other’s property.
Most burglaries take place at night so be especially vigilant then.
