MARAPONG — The Marapong Skimzoza Football Club ladies team was recently crowned as the Waterberg champions following the conclusion of the Women’s Regional League for Waterberg.
They played 14 league games of which they won 13. They scored 69 GF (Goals For them) and only seven GA (Goals Against them). They scored 39 points with Academy 11 FC finishing in second place with 33 points.
According to Zacharia Mosekiemang, team manager, they will play against some of the top teams in the Provincial to be held in 2019. “I am very proud of my ladies and they make Lephalale and the Waterberg proud. This is also a good way to keep the youngsters busy and to take them off the streets. We are looking forward to the Provincials,” he said.
Mosekiemang also said they are looking for assistance from businesses or individuals in order to “take the team forward”.
